NHMC,AGM.  Steve N reporting.

NHMC AGM 2010 was held on Sunday 25th April Kay’s Farm, Kumeu, West Auckland.

Who said no one turns up for AGMs?......

Who said NZ clubs memberships are down?.....

Who said.......

With weather forecasters predicting light winds, some fog in low lying areas, bright sunlight most of the day (not bad for the start of winter) with that in mind the

atmosphere was set & what a great atmosphere it was. The first duty of the day was to make sure the heli pad was clear of debris for the full size heli to land,

(Clayton at the controls) yes: the committee organised a full size Helicopter to arrive early morning to take our special guest ( Land owner & Farm manager) for a

scenic ride around the surrounding area. The flight was scheduled for around 1ish which gave the committee time to conduct the club’s AGM plus provide a (Free) BBQ lunch

for all NHMC club members attending. A special bonus: we offered our southern members, a Free return trip by Helicopter to our NHMC Kumeu flying site if they made their

way to Ardmore Airport by 9am Sunday morning (that put a smile on their faces J!!)

This year’s AGM saw the existing committee stand for another year with the addition of two new committee members helping out with the workload,

Steve Ford as safety officer & Adam Geck as web administrator.

Words can’t express enough, the fun had during our Trout Fishing NHMC style...  You might want to ask the anglers about their experience of a life time. I would like to add, make sure you

don’t miss out on our next trip, the plan is, Hire a full size Heli & fly inland to a exclusive water hole bubbling of Trout.. The Heli will depart right outside your bedroom window, ‘How cool’s that’!!!!

Club Flying Site

Lately the weather hasn’t been that kind to outdoor sports, don’t let it spoil our Hobby there can be good flying between the wet periods, as we found out. Note: Kumeu appears to have it

own weather forecast. It could be raining at home and perfectly fine & very flyable in Kumeu.

Please take care of the flying field during the winter period & please try to avoid the muddy holes just inside the gate area.

Mid Winter Feast

NHMC mid winter feast will be held as soon as the weather settles down & the club field dries out, watch this space for an update...

NHMC committee would like to offer a warm welcome to our newest members & look forward in helping you along the way of a very steep learning curve.  NHMC is all about having fun, helping people, socialising over a Hot roast lunch & don’t forget the NHMC special blend of wild B coffee.
