Model X 2005
Friday night saw a number of us at the New Wave Centre in
This was the third Model X that we have attended and by all accounts was, by far the most successful.
We handed out 800 flyers advertising our Club and the open day on Sunday 12th. June. The supply of flyers ran out an hour and a half before the end of the show on Sunday.
At least 12 Helicopters were on display, both Pod and Boom, electric and Scale.
A television was set up and played DVDs of International and National events, this drew a crowd of spectators like bees to a honey pot.
The club members who manned the stand did not get a moment to themselves as they fielded many and varied questions from the public.
Some old faces even turned up, one a founding member of our club, who wants to get back into flying again. Several people asked for joining forms so it is hoped that this will bring an increase of member numbers to the Club.
To those members who gave of their time, particularly Grant Billingham, a huge thank you. Without your effort our presence at Model X would not have happened.
