New Zealand's only Model Aero Club dedicated solely to Radio Control Model Helicopters.

The NZ Helicopter Technical Committee is a sub committee of the New Zealand Model Aeronautical Association and represents all helicopter modellers who are affilliated to the NZMAA through their individiual clubs.

Its function is to :

  • Liase between heli modellers and the NZMAA, making submissions and voting on issues of National significance.
  • Distribute relevant rules and regulations pertaining to Civil Aviation, Competitions, and model helicopter safety.
  • Organise and oversee National competitions.
  • Select NZ competitors for International competitions.
  • Host a 'Trans-Tasman' competition to F3C standard.
  • Administer the NZ 'Wings Badge' basic helicopter flight test.
  • Make sure everyone has an enjoyable time in their hobby. (grin)
